From the Frankfurt am Main International Airport

To reach the Frankfurt am Main Central Train Station (Hauptbahnhof (Hbf)) you may use either the Regional Train Station (Regionalbahnhof) or the Intercity Train Station (Fernbahnhof). Board one of the following trains:

From the Frankfurt am Main Central Train Station (Hauptbahnhof (Hbf)) to Gießen, Friedberg or Fulda

RegionalExpress (RE), InterCity (IC) and IntercityExpress (ICE) trains run several times daily to Gießen, Friedberg, and Fulda. To locate the train you need, simply have a look at one of the time tables found throughout the train station or utilize the information section on any one of the ticket machines. Travel from the Frankfurt Central Train Station to Gießen, Friedberg or Fulda is direct; you do not need to change trains!

From the Frankfurt-Hahn Airport

If you arrive at the Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, which is actually located in Hunsrück, Rheinland-Pfalz, you will have to travel by bus to the Frankfurt am Main Central Train Station. Book your train tickets (possible online at www.db.de) as far in advance as possible to take advantage of German Rail (Deutsche Bahn) special offers, such as early bird specials.
For your convienence, try not to arrive during the late night or early morning hours, between 01:00 . 04:00, since very few or no trains run from the Frankfurt am Main Central Train Station to Gießen, Friedberg or Fulda during these times.
