AStA

What is AStA?

ASTA, short for Allgemeiner Studierendenausschuss, is the student committee elected by student parliament (StuPa), entrusted in representing students in various establishments, such as the Studentenwerk Gießen and the university. They concern themselves with affairs like housing or tuition fees and inform the student body about university revelant political issues. In addition, ASTA offers a variety of counseling sessions for students- support for international students among these and supplies you with your semesterticket. In other words, ASTA works for you, the student.
