Student ID card (der Studentenausweis)

Every student enrolled at the university receives a student ID card, which allows them to take advantage of special student offers and prices.

For students of the Justus-Liebig university and the University of Applied Sciences Gießen-Friedberg (not the University of Applied Sciences Fulda) the student ID is also an electronic chip card that serves many different functions.

For Example: Your chip card is, among other things:

• Your method of payment in the Studentenwerk's cafeterias
• Your method of payment in the laundry rooms of the residence halls
• Your semesterTicket
• Your university library ID card
