Deregistration of your address

If you decide to return to your home country or move to another location outside of Germany following your studies, you are required to de-register your current German address with the city. Simply return to the Stadtbüro or Bürgerbüro (wherever you registered your address upon your arrival) and inform the proper authorities that you will no longer retain a place of residence in the Federal Republic of Germany and would like to de-register your address.
